The Bramble Thicket

A children's story by Deborah Thomas

www.bramblethicket.com

Character.  Good or bad, it defines who we are.  It seems more and more today that having a Godly and moral character is no longer important.  But Godly character traits DO matter to Deborah Thomas, the author of The Bramble Thicket.

Mrs. Thomas, a teacher and toy maker, created the storyline for The Bramble Thicket as a way to help parents and teachers instill the values of hard work, teamwork, manners, honesty, kindness, persistence, and problem solving.  She has done an excellent job of presenting these values in the delightful creatures known as The Bramble Thicket Bears, along with their special friend, Candlelight!

Bramble, Whisper, Tumble, Ramble, Kandoo, Thicket, Helper, and Rough are sweet little helpers in the colors of the rainbow, who embark on an exciting adventure to help Candlelight get safely back to her home.  Your family will delight in the ingenuity, teamwork, and love shown by the Bramble Thicket Bears as they go about making the way home safe and comfortable for the handicapped Candlelight.  What better way to send your children off to bed than by reading a chapter from The Bramble Thicket, and encouraging your children to dream of the rainbow-colored bears and their kind, helping, Godly ways!

The Bramble Thicket is a beautifully illustrated (illustrations are by James E. Seward) 83 page hard cover book.  Author Deborah Thomas has drawn on her 30 year experience as a teacher, along with her experiences as a homeschooling mother, seamstress, and toy designer to first create The Bramble Thicket Bears Collection.  The overwhelming response she got to these first stuffed creations encouraged her to write The Bramble ThicketThe Bramble Thicket was the winner of the 2004 PIAS (Printing Industry Association of the South) Award for best in category - and it is not hard to see why!

The Bramble Thicket sells for $27.95, and can be purchased by visiting www.bramblethicket.com, where parents can also print a Character Building Guide to go along with the story.
